7Cup Rules Recap

The 7Cup qualification campaign will kick-off at Gent tomorrow. Will your team get their ticket to the final at ING Arena and compete for €77.700?

As a reminder, here are some highlights of the qualifying tournaments rules. You'll find the complete version here: Rules (7cup.be)

• Group stage games will last 20 minutes with no half-time
• During group stage games, a win is worth 3 points and a draw is worth 1 point
• Knockout stage games will last 2 times 15 minutes with a 5 minutes half-time
• If a knockout game ends in a draw, winner will be decided by a 4 penalties shoot-out
• Penalties are taken "MLS style" - in the form of a run-up from the center circle. The player will have a maximum of 7 seconds to shoot the ball
• Five fouls in a game will lead to a penalty kick for the opponent
• Throw-ins are exclusively done with the foot
• During a game, there can be an infinite number of substitutions
